Overlapping categories of Muscular Dystrophy in this article

[edit]

Muscular Dystrophy is a group of neuromuscular disorders. Some types of MD are already included with the complete category as a whole is also included as well. Should we specify MD by including subgroups? There are Emery-Dreifuss and Myotonic already included. Poeticfeelings (talk) 12:58, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Major updates: New subgroups of MD added. I will add more in the future if I get the chance! The error in a deletion syndrome has been fixed. Couple references have been added. Poeticfeelings (talk) 15:02, 16 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Benjamin Syndrome

[edit]

Hi! I think the section regarding Benjamin Syndrome needs to be updated to 'Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria syndrome'. I am new to editing on Wikipedia- so I'm not entirely sure if the source (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5973194/) is according to the policy. Inclusion criteria and medref tag

[edit]

I noticed the {{medref}} tag sitting on the top of the page, since 2017 added here. As far as I can tell, being list-class there is no specific requirement for medical citations for this page, notability and verifiability better being established by the list's individual article entries. It seems like there was no selection criteria explicitly established for the page; to me it seems to have been following the first option at WP:CSC which is Every entry meets the notability criteria for its own non-redirect article in the English Wikipedia.

Based on this, I'm going to remove the template. It seems the "references" column is almost all empty and doesn't seem to serve much purpose - under the assumption that all the respective articles with entries here are using the references in their own articles. If there are no objections for a week or so I will remove this column for this reason. Darcyisverycute (talk) 11:49, 16 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please add Thalassemia

[edit]

Please can someone add the thalassemias?

  • Alpha-thalassemia (chromosome 16)
  • Beta-thalassemia (chromosome 11)
