Artist name?
[edit]iTunes detects the artist field for this album as "Deltron" instead of "Deltron 3030." Which one is right? --69.212.99.191 20:43, 27 Nov 2004 (UTC)
iTunes is not a credible source for information the answer to the question would be found on their CD. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.114.74.157 (talk) 22:48, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
"Deltron 3030" is correct. If iTunes was trying to claim Del himself as the artist, they'd have said "Del Tha Funkee Homosapien" or at least is pseudonym for this project "Deltron Zero". As Far As I Know: There's nothing out there that's just "Deltron"--Bluejuh 04:34, Apr 29, 2005 (UTC)
Freedb's database of albums recognizes the album as "Deltron 3030" by "Deltron" as well. I personally find this understandable. Considering that Deltron [Zero] is Del Tha Funkee Homosapien's futuristic alter-ego, if you will, and it is set in the year 3030, you wouldn't expect the artist's name to be "Deltron 3030," rather, you'd expect the album itself to be named "3030." This idea is backed up by the fact that on the album cover, "Deltron" and "3030" are in different text sizes. Also, there is a track on the album named "3030," and many albums are also named after a particular track on them. However, the album is more of a collaboration of Del, Automator and Kid Koala than a solo album by Del. And almost all web sites and stores will tell you that it is named Deltron 3030 (including this very article.) Conclusion: it's just a misinterpretation. Maybe the Freedb should have the artist name edited? --220.236.204.74 12:34, 1 May 2005 (UTC)
There is no specific artist name for this album because it is a collaborative project of several artists. Deltron 3030 is both the album name and the artist name as the group is a one off project, although there are rumors of a second project by the core group (Del, Dan "The Automator" and Kid Koala)
Basically what 220.236.204.74 has said. The album itself strongly suggests that the group's name is Deltron and the album's name 3030, but nobody gets it right. Deltron is the group name; the alter ego names of the three members are Deltron Zero, The Cantankerous Captain Aptos and Skiznod the Boy Wonder. Gershake (talk) 22:20, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
Language in "The News"
[edit]Does anyone have any idea what language the lyrics are for "The News (a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of Microsoft Inc.)", or what they mean? 69.205.44.163
- It's me again -- the Deltron 3030 album page lists Hafdis Huld as the artist on The News, and googling this person reveals that she is from Iceland. Thus, it's Icelandic! I still don't know what it means, though. 66.114.70.80
I added the compleat cast. Unfortunetly some of them I think will need help with links and it might need to be streightend outPwright329
Merge and Redirect from Deltron Event II
[edit]Until today there was a separate article for the long-unreleased second album Deltron Event II. I have merged the content from that article, with references, to the group's article here then completed a redirect. This is the result of the deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Deltron Event II (2nd nomination). Per the guidelines at Wikipedia Albums there should not be an article for that album until there is a full and definite track list, and a confirmed release date. Preferably there should not even be an article until after release if the press does not take notice. Don't worry, with this merge of info I have taken the attitude that the second album's production is a matter of interest in the history of Deltron 3030. --DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 16:52, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
There is now an infinite loop, as Deltron Event II is still under "see also." I will fix that in seconds. Please don't revert. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.241.118.40 (talk) 22:50, 28 August 2010 (UTC)

Rumored Third Album
[edit]Is this noteworthy to add to the wikipedia page, or is this an unreliable source? https://hiphopdx.com/news/id.46502/title.dan-the-automator-confirms-new-deltron-3030-album-on-its-way If anyone could answer this, it would be greatly appreciated.
