Melinoe should be put as Hades’ daughter. Civluc8 (talk) 18:20, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No, she is not Hades' daughter. Instead of adding this to articles, please actually read the Orphic Hymn, which states:
I call upon Melinoë, saffron-cloaked nymph of the earth,
whom revered Persephone bore by the mouth of the Kokytos river
upon the sacred bed of Kronian Zeus.
In the guise of Plouton Zeus tricked Persephone and through wiley plots bedded her;
Or read the secondary sources cited in that article, such as Morand, or Athanassakis & Wolkow. – Michael Aurel (talk) 19:05, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Replace screech owl with eagle owl

[edit]

Ascalaphus (son of acheron) is the source of hades owl symbol, though here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ascalaphus_(son_of_Acheron) he is said to have been transformed into a eagle owl, not a screech owl. far more importantly regarding the latter however is that they are restriced to the americas, so a screech owl is not a fitting symbol for the greek god of the underworld. so i propose that the screech owl be replaced with either the eagle owl (for the sake of consistensy). 213.65.214.38 (talk) 21:49, 31 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
